Life seems...

to be one big catch-up all the time doesn't it??? As long as we are making the most of it while it zooms past is the main thing :-)

So I have a couple of pages to share YAY!!

I did this first page using some of the newest Rainbow Splendour goodies from Chloe's last sale. I love denim!! I just about live in my jeans & I'm also finding I love denim on my pages too. The new denim pinwheels are fabulous!! I've used a teal & a yellow one on this page. I also have one of the super cute lady beetles on there too... they are so sweet!

There's also a fantastic Handmade Halo pebble & a couple of Lime Tree Creations flowers tucked in there too :-)

I used a sketch by the talented Sheree from Scrapz.Biz for this page & there was the added criteria of using an inspirational quote... the one I used is so true I think.

My next page I created using beautiful Handmade Halo mulberry flowers & a gorgeous charm. There's a great chance to win some fabulous Halo goodies ($50 worth!!) if you upload a page using some of these Halo mulberry flowers to the Halo FB page by tonight :-) I liked using the quote on my last page so I used another one on this page as well.

I hope everyone has a fabulous Mother's Day tomorrow!! whether you are being spoilt or you are doing the spoiling :-)

Thanks for dropping by & thanks again for all the lovely comments that you leave for me :-)

Take care

I'm guilty...

of neglecting my blog aren't I? Oh dear! I'll have to try harder.  I'll do a "little" catch up post so if you manage to get to the end THANK YOU!! :-)

Firstly a page that I did for the Lime Tree Creations April challenge. Becci set a fabulous sketch that I just had to use and this is the page that resulted.

I used some of the gorgeous ScrapCake "One Moment in Time" papers (which you can get here... One Moment in Time ) and lots of Handmade Halo goodies :-)  Look at those gorgeous Corinne made flowers!! the super adorable pebbledashers; those fabulous doilies AND to top it all off perfectly the sweetest butterfly charm. And of course some Lime Tree Creations crochet trim... YUM!

In this next page I've used some gorgeous new Handmade Halo resin & flowers as well as some beautiful pebbledashers... I was spoilt for choice from my yummy Halo stash!

I was drawn to the cute Halo robot buttons & cog pebbles so I used them with some cute photos of my two boys that have been sitting on my desk for a while. My two VERY cheeky boys!! :-)

Next up is a Step-by-step challenge set by Chloe at Scrapz.Biz. I've used lots of yummy handmade embellies on this page from A lil' Somethin and Apple Tree Lane Designs.

AND last but not least (I hope LOL!) is a Scrapz.Biz Scrap it Blind challenge set by Aga. Look at those gorgeous Rainbow Splendour trees!! & my favourite, must go to embellie... mini pinwheels!! :-) I just love this photo of my DS1... he has always loved being outside helping his Dad.

Thanks so much for sticking with this loooonnngg post... I do have another page to share but I haven't photographed it yet so I'll have to make sure I do that soon & stay up to date from now on :-)

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Back to school again!

I thought I'd pop in tonight with a couple of pages to share now that I've finished getting all the kidlet's things ready for the first day back at school tomorrow... I'm not exactly sure where the past 2 weeks went but holidays are over here in Qld once again *sigh*. I'm ready to have some quiet time during the day again though I must admit LOL!

This page was for a sketch challenge set by Aga at Scrapz.Biz. It was a fabulous sketch & you also had to use brads... I've got a lot of brads so I had to give this challenge a go :-)
I used the dark background paper for this page so that I could also enter a challenge over at C'est Magnifique.

I've used a Rainbow Splendour yellow doily which was perfect & the cute little book paper envelope which worked in really well too :-)

This next page was for a What's Cooking challenge set by Chloe over at Scrapz.Biz as well. This time we had to use chipboard. I was inspired by how Chloe used chipboard on her sample page so I did something similar with my title on this page. I used raw chipboard letters & then embossed over the top :-)  There's also some RBS pinwheels on here too... just LOVE RBS pinwheels!!!!

For all those with kidlets heading back to school in the morning all the best!!
Take care everyone xxoo

Nearly here :-)

Easter that is :-)

I thought I'd pop in & share a page that I did for Chloe's Scrap it Blind challenge at Scrapz.Biz last month. I used some Handmade Halo charms which really suited the 7Dots Studio paper line that I used.

I also wanted to let you know about Samantha's April giveaway... YUMMO!!! Pop over & check it out. Samantha is one talented girl too & her wonderful work always inspires me :-)

Well, I have two little boys having races around the house so I'd better go & "gently direct" them outside LOL!!!

Have a wonderful & safe Easter everyone!

Splendid RBS

Boy! the weeks slip by so fast don't they? Sunday afternoon once again & I hope you've had a fabulous weekend. My kidlets are very excited to have started holidays & they are looking forward to the Easter Bunny paying a visit soon :-)

I have a couple of pages to share with you today. I love playing along with challenges (I don't think I'm alone there am I girls?) and Scrapz.Biz have lots of my favourites. This page was for a Base Jump challenge set by the very talented Chloe.

I've used a Rainbow Splendour yellow flower, a Star Felt Pop & a green mini pinwheel. Aren't they all so fabulous for a fun boys page? Just perfect!!

This next page was for a sketch challenge set by Natalie & you had to use washi tape... so I kinda used a fair bit LOL!!! But look at the gorgeous red RBS Pinwheel that definitely takes centre stage.

Well' I'm going to go & get stuck into some more challenges :-) I'm hoping I get some scrapping done over the holidays & I also hope that the kidlets get on well so that I'm not playing referee too much... wishful thinking probably but I can always live in hope can't I???? LOL!

An easy day?????

It was our show holiday today so it should have been a relaxing day but the kidlets decided it was a good day to fight between themselves most of the day *sigh*.  I was going to scrap but it didn't happen... hopefully tonight :-)

So I thought I'd share a couple of pages this evening  :-)

When I got this cute fimo dinosaur made by the lovely Corinne (Handmade Halo) I knew I had to make it the focus of my page. I absolutely love these photos of my DS1 & I melt every time I look at them so they were perfect to use with my gorgeous little dinosuar :-)

I've also used some cute dinosaur pebbledashers that you can get here...
And a gorgeous Super Star by Charm.

This next page I did for Sheree's sketch challenge at Scrapz.biz. I used a lovely Handmade Halo charm & some yummy Purple Pumpkin embellies. These are photos of my DD's very first cross country run when she was a very little preppie... so cute!!!

I hope everyone that has kidlets starting holidays tomorrow have a great, relaxing couple of weeks. For those that have to wait a little longer I'm sending you some strength to get through the last bit of term :-)

Take care my lovely scrappy friends! xx

Sheree's sketch

I really liked this sketch that Sheree did for the Fetch A Sketch challenge last week...

so I had a play with it and came up with this...

I used one of Corinne's fabulous rope flowers which I thought was perfect for the beachy theme especially with that amazing anchor charm attached. I've also used a couple of gorgeous resin flowers... I just adore resin & I think I have a slight addiction LOL! Here's a close up of the Handmade Halo goodness for you :-)

Have a great day everyone!

Scrap It Blind

One of my favourite challenges over at Scrapz.Biz is the Scrap it Blind... the DT girls give you written instructions (but no pic hehe...) of a page & you create your page from your interpretation of those instructions :-) I got a chance to do the lovely Chloe's SIB challenge last week & this is what I came up with.

I'm quite liking the end result :-) I used a couple of goodies from my Handmade Halo stash too... a lovely applique flower which I've placed under a resin flower.

It's pretty hot here today... I hope the weather isn't too bad in your neck of the woods today. I've got to go to a P&C meeting now so better get moving.

Thanks for dropping by :-)

Playing along...

with some challenges :-)

I haven't had as much time for creating these school holidays as I would have liked but that's OK, the kidlets have had some great chill out time & I've enjoyed the lack of routine.

I tried the Base Jump challenge over at Scrapz.biz for the first time. The DT girls start you off with the base of a page & then you do whatever you will with it. Here's the base that Aga set...

And this is what I came up with...

I also did the What's Cooking challenge set by Sheree. I used some Christmas photos so that I could also enter it in the Holiday Layout challenge at C'est Magnifique.

I've got lots more challenges on my list that I would LOVE to get done... I'll see how I go :-)

Thanks again for everyone's wonderful comments :-)

Merry Christmas!

I've finally managed a little scrapping time since the kids started holidays YAY! and I'm hoping to do quite a bit more once all the festivities are over :-)

I saw this gorgeous page of Georgia Keays' on her blog. It totally inspired me & I wanted to have a go at it... so this is my page. Thank you Georgia for the awesome inspiration :-)
Photo by the ultra talented Linley, LaBelle Photographics.

I haven't done a challenge page in SO long! so I've made myself a little list of some that I would like to get done soon. I saw this great sketch set by the lovely Chloe over at Scrapz.biz.

And here is my page using some yummy goodies from Rainbow Splendour, Eye Candy Magic & Charms Creations.

In the New Year my youngest starts Prep. I'm quite sad thinking about how quickly my 3 gorgeous babies have grown :-(.  Everyone asks me what I'm going to do with myself... I think I'll find something to do LOL! I'm very involved in the school so I imagine I will spend even more time there once all 3 start & I think I deserve some more scrapping time in there too... well I hope I do anyway LOL!

I'd like to wish everyone a wonderful & safe Christmas & New Years! I hope 2012 is a great year for you. Thank you for all the gorgeous comments that you've left for me since starting my blog... I really enjoy reading them & they always make me smile :-)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Busy week!

It's the last week of school holidays here & my hubby has also had the week off so we've been trying to get all those jobs done that never seem to get done... we've managed to tick most of them off the list which feels good :-)

I haven't had time to scrap since my wonderful quiet weekend but I do have a few shares that I haven't had a chance to show you.

This one is the "What's Cooking" challenge set by the lovely Kerryn... this was part of the weekly challenges set at ScrapzBiz. The theme was "Pamper Me" so I scrapped this photo of the gorgeous hairdo that the kidlets gave me one night LOL!!

The next one was the "Inspiration challenge" set by the equally lovely Sheree also for the weekly challenges at ScrapzBiz. I used one of the double page sketches from the great class that I am doing at Big Picture Classes for this. I've also used some yummy A Lil' Somethin' banners & button on this & the previous pages :-)

And lastly I saw a great sketch challenge while doing a little blog surfing & wanted to try it out. It's the monthly sketch challenge set by Handmade by Suzanne.

If you love making cards or even if you find making cards a little challenging (like me LOL!) then ScrapBiz is the place to be this weekend. There has already been two fabulous challenges set & there will be more over the weekend. You should check out Kerryn & Sheree's sample cards... they are gorgeous!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Judith's Scrap It Blind Challenge

The mojo still isn't flowing much for me at the moment (hopefully I'll take off running again soon) but I did do the Scrap It Blind weekly challenge set by Judith over at ScrapzBiz a couple of days ago. I used the Fancy Pants "It's the Little Things" line... yummo! There's also a cute clock button that I got from Sharyn at the last Scrapbooking Top 50 Craft markets :-)

Hopefully I'll be creating a lot more soon & have a bit more to share... fingers crossed!

Scrapzbiz weekly challenges - Oh No! theme

Thanks so much for the lovely comments girls :-)

I managed to get a couple of last weeks challenges done over at Scrapbiz after having quite a scrapping block for a few weeks.

This was the Scrap It Blind challenge set by Kerryn. I love the SIB challenges especially when I'm lacking some mojo... just follow the instructions & you have a lovely page before you know it :-).

This next one was for the Fetch A Sketch challenge set by Judith. I really liked Judith's sketch & I think I'll use it again with some smaller photos.

Here's the sketch

and here's my page

If you are looking for some great challenges & some great shopping come over to Scrapzbiz.
Thanks for looking!
