Scrap It Blind

One of my favourite challenges over at Scrapz.Biz is the Scrap it Blind... the DT girls give you written instructions (but no pic hehe...) of a page & you create your page from your interpretation of those instructions :-) I got a chance to do the lovely Chloe's SIB challenge last week & this is what I came up with.

I'm quite liking the end result :-) I used a couple of goodies from my Handmade Halo stash too... a lovely applique flower which I've placed under a resin flower.

It's pretty hot here today... I hope the weather isn't too bad in your neck of the woods today. I've got to go to a P&C meeting now so better get moving.

Thanks for dropping by :-)

1st Birthday pages

Thank you so much for everyone's lovely, encouraging comments about my first DT position... they really made me smile & made me feel much more confident. I'm so lucky to have made such gorgeous scrappy friends xxoo

I've been trying to catch up on my older photos lately... I'm a tad behind; like 4 years behind! LOL!! I'm not really that worried about that fact but I've just set myself a goal to catch up a little :-)

So when a couple of the challenges posted over at Scrapz.Biz during the school holidays worked well with my youngest's 1st birthday photos I was very happy.

I've used Jillibean Soup papers for both as they will probably go side by side in Danan's album.

I went a little crazy with my embossing powders on this next one LOL!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. We had my sister & her 2 daughters up from Brisbane today for lunch... it was so nice & relaxed :-)

Take care xx

Exciting Handmade Halo News

Hi everyone :-)

I hope all those with school age kidlets have had a good return to school or introduction to school... I know a lot of my scrappy friends have little ones starting this year. My youngest has taken to prep like the proverbial duck to water & loves it.

I have some exciting news & some shares for you tonight.

Firstly, I was asked by the lovely Corinne to join the DT at Handmade Halo. Whoohoo!!! how exciting!... my first foray into the scrapping DT world & I thank Corinne for inviting me :-)

Secondly, there is going to be a sale tomorrow at Handmade Halo's new store and there is some VERY yummy new products being created especially. You can check some of the new things out tonight on the facebook page :-)

I received a fabulous package of Handmade Halo goodies last week & got a chance to play on the weekend...

On this first page I used PLS (Pretty Little Studio) "Summer Breeze" papers & lots of gorgeous embellishments from Handmade Halo.

Look at that gorgeous handmade flower (Corinne makes gorgeous flowers!); I just loved the fabric butterfly; not to mention the yummy resin flowers and that pretty bird charm.

And what about this resin!!!!

My second page is using the PLS "Clowning Around" collection. This is such a bright, fun collection... exactly what I like to work with :-) I used a sketch set by the lovely Sheree over at Scrapz.biz for this page.

The accessories that match this line are so cute! and look at that sweet button!

I love these resin frames. I cut a small photo to fit inside.

So there we go, my very first Handmade Halo DT post... I hope I did OK? and I hope you like the gorgeous products that I got to play with. Head over to the Shop tomorrow (Wednesday 1st Feb) for the big sale YAY!!!

Thanks for popping in girls :-)  Have a great night!

Playing along...

with some challenges :-)

I haven't had as much time for creating these school holidays as I would have liked but that's OK, the kidlets have had some great chill out time & I've enjoyed the lack of routine.

I tried the Base Jump challenge over at Scrapz.biz for the first time. The DT girls start you off with the base of a page & then you do whatever you will with it. Here's the base that Aga set...

And this is what I came up with...

I also did the What's Cooking challenge set by Sheree. I used some Christmas photos so that I could also enter it in the Holiday Layout challenge at C'est Magnifique.

I've got lots more challenges on my list that I would LOVE to get done... I'll see how I go :-)

Thanks again for everyone's wonderful comments :-)

Merry Christmas!

I've finally managed a little scrapping time since the kids started holidays YAY! and I'm hoping to do quite a bit more once all the festivities are over :-)

I saw this gorgeous page of Georgia Keays' on her blog. It totally inspired me & I wanted to have a go at it... so this is my page. Thank you Georgia for the awesome inspiration :-)
Photo by the ultra talented Linley, LaBelle Photographics.

I haven't done a challenge page in SO long! so I've made myself a little list of some that I would like to get done soon. I saw this great sketch set by the lovely Chloe over at Scrapz.biz.

And here is my page using some yummy goodies from Rainbow Splendour, Eye Candy Magic & Charms Creations.

In the New Year my youngest starts Prep. I'm quite sad thinking about how quickly my 3 gorgeous babies have grown :-(.  Everyone asks me what I'm going to do with myself... I think I'll find something to do LOL! I'm very involved in the school so I imagine I will spend even more time there once all 3 start & I think I deserve some more scrapping time in there too... well I hope I do anyway LOL!

I'd like to wish everyone a wonderful & safe Christmas & New Years! I hope 2012 is a great year for you. Thank you for all the gorgeous comments that you've left for me since starting my blog... I really enjoy reading them & they always make me smile :-)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Retreat shares

A big hello to everyone! I've been off-line for a while due to a number of things... my computer had to go away twice for repairs which was a tad frustrating; we went away to the Gold Coast for a fabulous (& much needed) holiday & this last school term has been SO busy!! You all know what I'm talking about on that count LOL!

So, given all of the above, scrap time has suffered very badly :-(   I did go on a retreat at the end of October with some wonderful friends & we had a fabulous few days away together. I struggled on the creating side though... just couldn't get into the groove unfortunately. I'll share my pages but they are pretty simple & nothing rave worthy LOL!

So here goes :-)
One of my scrappy friends challenged me to use yellow & clocks to scrap this photo of us all taken at the retreat. I used some Authentique for the first time.

Then a couple of school pages

Some Christmas pages.

And to finish off, a double...

So is everyone ready or nearly ready for the big, jolly fellow in red? I am thank goodness :-) I don't like shopping at the best of times and I don't cope well with crowds so I REALLY try hard to have all my Christmas shopping & preparations done well before the end of school... this year I succeeded YAY!

Thanks for stopping by after I've been absent for so long everyone... I love your visits xx
